ENGLAND are teetering on the brink of international football glory - and it's a lot closer than next summer's World Cup.

You can forget pampered princes Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, Rooney and co... here come the girls. Our female footie stars are about to take on Germany in tonight's European Championship Final (let's hope it doesn't go to penalties).

While 19 of the squad areon central contracts with the FA, there are no Ferraris, gated mansions and designer clothes here. The ladies are paid a very modest pounds 16,000 a year - a day's work to the likes of Rooney.

But with the match in Helsinki being broadcast live on BBC BBC
 in full British Broadcasting Corp.

Publicly financed broadcasting system in Britain. A private company at its founding in 1922, it was replaced by a public corporation under royal charter in 1927.
2, with coverage starting at 4.45pm, the FA is finally making the girls' game a top priority.

We already know they're pretty brilliant to get this far.

But it appears the squad are hiding some secret talents.

Ahead of the crucial game, we get to know the ladies a bit better...
