(Newsmakers).Psomas has announced the appointments of Blake Murillo as chief executive and Jacob Jacob (jā`kəb), in the Bible, ancestor of the Hebrews, the younger of Isaac and Rebecca's twin sons; the older was Esau. In exchange for a bowl of lentil soup, Jacob obtained Esau's birthright and, with his mother's help, received the blessing Lipa as president of the Los Angeles-based engineering firm. They succeed Tim Psomas, who was both president and chief executive for nearly 30 years. Murillo has been with the company for 25 years, most recently with the firm's information technology and geographic information systems geographic information system (GIS) Computerized system that relates and displays data collected from a geographic entity in the form of a map. The ability of GIS to overlay existing data with new information and display it in colour on a computer screen is used primarily to consulting group. Lipa was formerly in charge of the company's land development services. |
