Engim, Inc., developers of next generation silicon technology that redefines the performance and management of wireless LAN A local area network that transmits over the air typically in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz unlicensed frequency band. It does not require line of sight between sender and receiver. Wireless base stations (access points) are wired to an Ethernet network and transmit a radio frequency over an area  infrastructure, today announced that David Gagne has joined the company as Vice President of Sales. A distinctly respected sales executive in the network processor and networking infrastructure industries, Gagne was appointed by Engim CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Nick Finamore to guide Engim's ongoing vendor integration of its multi-channel WLAN processors, and drive the market entry and adoption of new Engim-based multi-service Wi-Fi infrastructure that lets the enterprise simultaneously and economically support voice, data, video and network administration services.

Gagne joins Engim as the company enters a potentially aggressive growth phase, driven by growing industry recognition of the short-comings and performance fluctuations of single-channel Wireless LANs, which render them poorly suited to strategic enterprise applications and performance-sensitive applications such as voice and video. Gagne notes: "The recently announced Tolly Group analysis underscores the enterprise market's need for the performance consistency, dramatically higher throughput, and multi-service support that Engim enables. I'm delighted to join the industry's best Wi-Fi processor developer at such an exciting time, and be working with top flight vendors to bring to market a new industrial class of Wi-Fi solutions that end corporate WLAN service constraints, performance drops and user limitations."

He brings 23 years of sales management experience in semiconductors and electronic components to Engim, and most recently served as VP of Sales of T-Networks. His previous positions include VP of Sales at Tioga Technologies and Director of Sales at both Actel and Sharp. Gagne received his BS in General Science (majoring in Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science and Mathematics) from the University of Rochester The University of Rochester (UR) is a private, coeducational and nonsectarian research university located in Rochester, New York. Engim CEO Nick Finamore concluded: "Dave is known as one of the industry's top sales talents, and is an outstanding addition to the leadership team. Together, we're establishing Engim as the foundation for a new generation of Wi-Fi multi-service networking that helps drive the mass enterprise migration to wireless networking."
