In cooperation with the Pew Partnership for Civic Change, LWVUS will offer a leadership training session on Friday, June 11, the day before the official start of Convention 2004 (see News from M Street, page 4 for details). On Monday afternoon, there will be workshops on topics including Membership, Development, Communications, Advocacy and Judicial Independence.

Caucuses are meetings arranged, planned and conducted by delegates to discuss issues. If your League would like to reserve a caucus room in advance and have your caucus listed in the convention program, contact Natalie Testa before April 15, 2004. Caucuses will be assigned on a space-available-basis; remaining space may be requested when you arrive. Tim local arrangements committee for Convention 2004 is sponsoring a Dine Around evening on Saturday, June 12. A variety of menus and prices will be available. Sign up at the Information Desk in the Registration area for an evening of delectable cuisine at one of Washington's potpourri of excellent eating establishments.

The League banquet is scheduled for Monday evening. The cost of the banquet is included in the Convention registration fee. If you would like to purchase additional banquet tickets @$55.00, you may do so at the Convention Registration desk.

The Convention site, the Hilton Washington, combines the amenities of a grand hotel and a pleasant resort, with seven acres of colorful gardens, sparkling pools and a complete health club. Plan to arrive early or spend a few extra days in America's Capital City!

Washington, DC's countless monuments, museums and public buildings draw visitors from around the world. The Hilton Washington is a pick-up station for the famous Red Trolley tours that enable visitors to tour the entire city, exiting and returning to the trolley at all of the major attractions. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance of the many restaurants of the Adams Morgan Adams Morgan is a culturally diverse neighborhood in Northwest Washington, D.C., centered at the intersection of 18th Street NW and Columbia Road NW.
