Engage PR Named One of Bay Area's ''Best Places to Work''; Alameda-based PR Firm Recognized on the Third Annual List of Bay Area Companies.


ALAMEDA Alameda (ăləmē`də, –mā`də), city (1990 pop. 76,459), Alameda co., W central Calif., on an island just off the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay; settled 1850, inc. as a city 1884. , Calif. -- Engage PR announced today that it has been honored as a recipient of the prestigious "Best Places to Work in the Bay Area" award from the San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  Business Times, East Bay Business Times, Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and Deloitte for the second time in three years. Principal and owner Molly M. Miller accepted the award during a ceremony at the San Francisco Marriott The San Francisco Marriott is a skyscraper in San Francisco, California. The building rises 436 feet (133 meters) in the southern region of San Francisco’s Financial District. It contains 39 floors, and was completed in 1989.  Hotel on April 5, 2006. Engage PR was also named to the list in 2004.

The complete list and rankings of honorees was published in the April 7 edition of the business publications. Engage PR ranked ninth in the category of firms with 25 to 50 employees; in 2004 it ranked 13th in the category of firms with 100 or fewer employees. Awards are granted based on results of an online survey completed by employees as well as on benefits data supplied by human resources The fancy word for "people." The human resources department within an organization, years ago known as the "personnel department," manages the administrative aspects of the employees. . The survey included questions about employees' satisfaction with their company's work climate and culture, management practices and specific policies, and benefits.
