Lyn Chitow Oakes Promoted to President of Engage Media

, Inc., today announced the promotion of Lyn Chitow Oakes from executive vice president and general manager to President of Engage Media.

Engage formed Engage Media, a division of Engage, by integrating three online media network properties, Engage's AudienceNet, Flycast and Adsmart. As President, Oakes will continue to oversee Engage Media, which provides marketers with a choice of diverse online media programs to seamlessly deliver customized solutions designed to meet marketing goals and objectives. In this position, Oakes will report to Deborah McWhinney, Group President of Media.

Prior to the formation of Engage Media, Oakes served as executive vice president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Oakes also spent seven years at America Online in a variety of positions in marketing, product marketing and corporate development, culminating with vice president of Internet and community services, where she managed three strategic areas and defined and managed AOL's Internet programming strategy.

Oakes is founder of the Advertising Standards Alliance (ASA Asa (ā`sə), in the Bible, king of Judah, son and successor of Abijah. He was a good king, zealous in his extirpation of idols.
