Enesco Signs Long-Term Licensing Agreement with Artist, Jim Shore.

ITASCA, Ill. -- Enesco Group, Inc. (NYSE:ENC), a leader in the giftware, collectible and home decor industries, today announced the Company signed an eight-year licensing agreement with Jim Shore, creator of Enesco's widely popular Heartwood Creek brand of products. The agreement gives Enesco the first right of refusal on all product formats and does not require a minimum guarantee.

Orders of Heartwood Creek have increased by over 200% compared to the same period last year. The line is expected to generate approximately $30 million in wholesale sales this year.

Jim Shore, honored as the 2003 Artist of the Year by NALED (National Association of Limited Edition Dealers), will continue to develop designs and artwork for Enesco's multiple business channels. Currently, Heartwood Creek gift and home product formats include everyday and seasonal figurines, statuettes, garden accessories, tabletop, lamps and other home decor accents. The majority of the Heartwood Creek line is offered at specialty retail locations, including card and gift stores, home decor boutiques and furniture retailers. The Heartwood Creek collection is best known for its American folk art motif and unique wood-carved appearance.
