Shares of Enersis, and its subsidiary, Endesa-Chile, will begin trading on Latibex, on Monday, December 17, 2001 after overcoming initial Chilean obstacles for conducting such business.

The negotiations for listing both securities on the Latibex ended successfully, thanks to the enactment, on November 7, of Chilean Law 19,768 relative to the capital markets. This law eliminated the tax on capital gains for shares traded in both domestic and international stock markets for companies approved by the Chilean Superintendencia de Valores y Seguros ("SVS").

Subsequently, on November 13, 2001, the SVS established that the shares traded on the respective stock markets in London This article or section may contain original research or unverified claims.
