-- Achievement in Energy Efficiency by an End User: Food Lion's Organizational Commitment to Energy. An Award of Merit in this category was also presented to Sandia National Laboratories for its energy efficiency programs.

-- Achievement in Energy Services (tie): New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) for its Keep Cool Summer Awareness campaign. Pacific Gas & Electric, San Diego Gas & Electric, Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas for their collaborative effort in developing and implementing the Savings by Design - Statewide Nonresidential New Construction Incentive program.

-- Achievement in Innovative Marketing Approaches: Southern California Edison's Energy$mart Thermostat program. Two Awards of Merit were given: one to the City of Riverside, California for its Special Envelope/Back-of-the-Bill marketing program and one to NYSERDA for its Home Performance program.

-- B.H. Prasad AESP Outstanding Contributor of the Year: AESP Board Member Rick Morgan, President of Morgan Marketing Partners, received this award for his work in developing and implementing a new member training program called "AESP's Brown Bag Seminars."
