Enerchem Reports Record Revenues.

NISKU, Alberta--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 2, 1997-- Enerchem (TSE: ECH) Mr. Larry B. Phillips, President of Enerchem International Inc., an Edmonton based specialty chemical company and equipment rental company serving the oil and gas industry, reports record revenues and net profits for the six months ended February 28, 1997. Revenues were $5,792,518 versus $4,272,524 for the first six months of the prior year representing a 36 percent increase. Income, before tax, during the period increased from $397,340 to $1,076,467, an increase of 171 percent. After tax income increased 204 percent to $549,467 compared to $180,678 the previous year. Earnings per share for the six month period have increased from $0.03 to $0.09.

Revenues for the quarter ended February 28, 1997 were $3,047,555 versus $2,318,927 for the corresponding year representing a 31 percent increase. Income before tax during the quarter increased from $327,607 to $606,949, an increase of 85 percent and after tax income increased 85 percent to $297,949 compared to the previous year of $161,245. Earnings per share for the quarter have increased from $0.03 to $0.05.
