EnerTech Capital Announces Addition Of John A. Higley To Advisory Board.


WAYNE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 2, 1998--EnerTech Capital Partners, the preeminent private equity partnership specializing in companies related to the deregulating utility and energy marketplace, is pleased to announce the addition of John A. Higley to EnerTech's Advisory Board.

John is the senior global energy partner for the Energy & Utility Industry Services group of Deloitte & Touche Consulting.

Higley has over 26 years of experience in serving the electric and natural gas industry. His areas of expertise include strategic and competitive positioning, customer segmentation and market analysis, supply planning and energy source contracting, customer enterprise systems, and the development of software products to support planning and analysis of utility business functions.

From 1994 to 1997, Higley was the managing director of Deloitte's Energy and Utility practice. Prior to Deloitte & Touche, he was senior vice president of Energy Management Associates, a leading provider of utility software solutions and consulting, which was acquired by EDS (Electronic Data Systems, Plano, TX, www.eds.com) Founded in 1962 by H. Ross Perot (independent candidate for the President of the U.S. in 1992), EDS is the largest outsourcing and data processing services organization in the country.  in 1992.

While at EMA (1) (Enterprise Management Architecture) An earlier strategic plan from Digital for integrating network, system and application management. It provided the operating environment for managing a multi-vendor network. , Higley developed a consulting practice and implemented a business plan for providing more applications/software solutions for the utility industry. Without increasing staff, John helped to triple the client coverage and produce the highest revenue growth and net income performance in the company's history.

Higley received a BSIE BSIE Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering  from Georgia Institute of Technology Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, Ga.; coeducational; state supported; chartered 1885, opened 1888. It is a member school in the university system of Georgia. Significant among its facilities and programs are the Frank H.  and is certified as both an Industrial Engineer and a Management Consultant.
