Emulex host bus adapters certified for ADIC tape libraries and storage appliances.

Emulex Corp. (NYSE:ELX) has announced that Advanced Digital Information Corp. (ADIC) has certified the Emulex LightPulse 2Gb/s LP9002L, LP952L, SBus LP9002S and 1Gb/s LP8000 Fibre Channel HBAs for its Scalar 100, 1000 and 10K tape libraries and Pathlight 5000 storage appliances.

The Emulex family of Fibre Channel HBAs, including the recently qualified LP9002L, LP952L and LP9002S, offer firmware upgradeability and a unique driver architecture that enables compatibility of a single operating system driver across Emulex's entire product line, which significantly reduces SAN management complexity while lowering the customer's total cost of ownership.

In addition, Emulex HBAs are fully compatible with legacy 1Gb/s SANs, and feature automatic speed negotiation.
