Rodrigo Aguirre sacrificed Reynolds to second, and the Emeralds intentionally walked B.J. Lange to put runners on first and second.

Erik Schindewolf followed a drive to left field, and Reynolds beat the throw to the plate to end the game.

Yakima won its fourth consecutive game on the last at-bat, while Eugene fell 12 games under .500.

The Emeralds took a 3-0 lead in the second inning when two runs scored on a single and error that left Orlando Diaz at third base.

Sean Kazmar later singled to drive in Diaz.

Yakima scored a run in the bottom half when Trey Hendricks drove in Brandon Burgess.

Yakima starter Jered Liebeck then settled in and retired 19 consecutive batters. He pitched eight innings with seven strikeouts and gave up five hits and two earned runs.

The Bears scored four runs in the fifth inning, with only one of them earned.

Emeralds starter Joel Santo started the inning by walking Buchanan. Aguirre moved him to second on a fielder's choice field·er's choice
