THE RESPONSE If it's a first-time flake-out or she has a legit le·git adj. But if she has an excuse rap sheet longer than your guest list, you have a right to feel let down. And you need to say something to her about it because maybe she has no clue she upset you. Say nothing, and it will likely happen again. If she's the type who bails when she finds something "better" to do, you probably ought to consider re-evaluating the friendship. Easily excited; skittish. and forgetful by nature, learn to accept your friend the way she is. And that means not setting yourself up for a fall.
