More than half of the employers (55.7 percent) said they would not alter their existing holiday schedule to accommodate requests from employees who want to take more time off during that week, while 71.4 percent said they will approve vacation requests if an employee has earned time off, based on staffing needs. Just over half (53.8 percent) of the employers said they will be flexible and relax policies for time-off requests - again, based on staffing needs. While some employers have said their time-off policies are set in stone, most agreed they will be more flexible to workers' needs.
