Empire State Building wins Energy Star designation.


Add another enviable distinction to the resume of the world's most famous office building. The Empire State Building is now an "ENERGY STAR Partner."

 designation means that the iconic office tower is contributing to a healthier environment through the use of energy efficient products and practices approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), independent agency of the U.S. government, with headquarters in Washington, D.C.
