Empire State Building names a general manager.


James T. Connors, a commercial real estate professional with over two decades in the industry, has been named General Manager of the Empire State Building, a prestigious post that encompasses overseeing all commercial property management, Observatory, and broadcasting operations at the world's most famous office building. Prior to assuming his new role at the Empire State Building, Connors held the position of Director, World Trade Center Redevelopment at the Port Authority of New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 & New Jersey, an agency he joined in 1984 and has served in a variety of positions since.

Connors will report directly to ownership, Empire State Building Company, L.L.C, a partnership led by Leona M. Helmsley and Peter L. Malkin.

In his former post at the Port Authority as Director of World Trade Center Redevelopment, Conners played a crucial role in the planning, design and development of the WTC WTC World Trade Center, see there  site.

In his penulti-mate position at the Port Authority, he served as Deputy Director of Real Estate for the WTC site from 1999 JIM CONNORS to 2004.

Earlier, Conners held the posts of general manager of finance WTC; general manager, strategic planning; and principal financial analyst, Office of the CFO See Chief Financial Officer. .

Connors earned a Masters of Public Administration in 1984 from Syracuse University and a BS degree from SUNY SUNY - State University of New York  at Oswego in 1977. James is licensed as a real estate broker in New York and member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
