DESCRIPTION The program starts with a 28-question survey to assess your level of emotional intelligence. The report has easy-to-understand definitions of EQ and offers different ways to look at your results. For example, one report gives your overall emotional intelligence score. Another report compares your overall EQ score to those of other people in the world. A third option lets you select characteristics that best describe you, e.g., gender, age, job function, and compares your score to those of individuals with similar characteristics. You are then able to compare yourself to various constituencies, which I found interesting. The online program and printed report focus on how to improve your EQ skills. Each skill has a definition and examples of how it is applied in everyday life. These examples are either video clips A short video presentation. with scenes that demonstrate EQ skills in action or a virtual coach who explains how best to demonstrate the EQ behavior in a real situation. After reviewing the examples, you can set goals and create an online action plan. The goals can also be forwarded to someone else--a manager, perhaps--to share what you are working on.
