Emission Monitoring System.

Goyen has introduced EMP7, a simple, self-contained 2-wire 4-20mA emission monitor designed to feed a PLC numeric display. The product has a wide range of 0.01 mg/[m.sup.3]-1 kg/[m.sup.3], and output is absolute, meaning that no recalibration is required if the instrument is changed. In addition, the emissions monitor features full electrical isolation to prevent potential corruption due to ground potential differences. There is a high tolerance to bridging of the insulator. Resolution of the monitor is up to 0.001 mg/[m.sup.3], and there is logarithmic output for wide range displays, which also can be easily converted to linear. The firm also offers a new LED numeric display to provide clear indication of emissions or other process signals. The display offers flexible processing, including averaging, alarms and calibration and flexible networking with a master, slave or modem support. Fast and slow display modes show the emission signal averaged over a configurable time, from seconds to hours. Accumulate and scale functions support a set of manual and automatic calibration options and isokinetic testing. Alarm functions allow the two alarm channels to be set up independently to automatic or manual operation, and network functions also support a variety of operating modes.
