Emida Announces Support of Lipman 8320 GPRS Terminal.

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif. & MIAMI -- Emida Technologies, a leader in the global prepayment and value transfer market, announced today support of the Lipman 8320 GPRS terminal.

Support of the Lipman 8320 GPRS is significant in that it will allow store locations worldwide, without traditional landlines or with limited landline access, to work with Emida's Debisys and Puntoflex POSA networks in order to provide prepaid wireless and value transfer services to customers.

The Lipman 8320 GPRS is the perfect choice in terminals wherever dial-up service is not available. GPRS is commonly used in Europe as an alternative to available dial-up, since it is faster and more convenient. In Latin America, GPRS is often used when landlines are not available, and in many newly developed areas, where GPRS is the defacto alternative to landlines. The terminal works over IP as well as global positioning, and the handheld terminal is ideal for stores and restaurants alike.

Since GPRS is available worldwide, support of the Lipman 8320 GPRS is key to Emida's global growth strategy, especially in Latin America.
