) Friday announced that Curt Seebaldt, an Emergent technical contractor at the U.S. Air Force's Command and Control Training and Innovation Group (AFC2TIG AFC2TIG Air Force Command and Control Training and Innovation Group (Hurlburt Field, FL) ) at Hurlburt Field Hurlburt Field is a base of the United States Air Force located in Okaloosa County, Florida on the Eglin Air Force Base reservation immediately west of the Town of Mary Esther.  in Fla., was named the Technical Contractor of the Quarter for Q3, 2000.

The recognition marks the fifth straight quarterly award for Emergent personnel out of a contractor community of 16 other companies and some 250 contractor personnel.

Rick Welton, the program manager for Emergent's efforts in support of the AFC2TIG said, "We have a team of true professionals dedicated to achieving the experimentation goals for the AFC2TIG, the Air Force and the Department of Defense -- we're proud of our consistently excellent support to the warfighter."

), an annual Air Force effort to evaluate new operational concepts and technologies by blending live action with simulation. Emergent is closely involved with the annual JEFX.

Major General Gerald Perryman, the commander of the Aerospace Command & Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, & Reconnaissance Center (AC2ISRC AC2ISRC Aerospace Command and Control & Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Center ) of which AFC2TIG is a field agency, stated that JEFX "...will have far-reaching implications for the future of joint warfare Joint warfare is a military doctrine which places priority on the integration of the various service branches of a state's armed forces into one unified command. Joint warfare is in essence a form of combined arms warfare on a larger, national scale, in which complementary forces  as we work toward building the Expeditionary Aerospace Force for the 21st Century. It is the venue from which innovative ideas and concepts spring forward."

Emergent's dedicated AFC2TIG JEFX planning team has six members who plan and direct all aspects of experimentation execution in this annual Air Force experiment.
