Embraer has received the first AMX jet from the Brazilian Air Force under a modernisation programme designed to keep the fleet of 53 jets on active duty for another 20 years. The upgrade will incorporate new avionics systems, weaponry and sensors--with most of the new components having been made in Brazil.
