The new VCB V.5, designed to make multipoint conferencing and streaming easy for administrators as well as end-users scheduling their own conferences, is the only MCU in the market with an embedded Gatekeeper (MXM MXM Media Xchange Manager (VCON Inc.)

), Conference Moderator and Data Conferencing. This unique aspect of VCB V.5 reduces cost because it eliminates the need for companies to purchase an external gatekeeper or optional functionalities.

The VCB V.5 provides all the major high-quality standards for video, audio and data, and allows participants to conference at the data rate of their choice. Both scheduled and ad-hoc conferences are supported.

The VCB V.5 includes all the rich features found in high-end multi-conferencing units, intelligent conference layouts selection with up to 16 Continuous Presence in 4CIF (1) (Common Intermediate Format) A standard video format used in videoconferencing. CIF formats are defined by their resolution, and standards both above and below the original resolution have been established. The original CIF is also known as Full CIF (FCIF).  video and wide-band AAC-LD audio modes.

The VCB V.5 adds advanced capabilities such as audio transcoding, speed matching, and bandwidth management. It also supports all the latest audio, video, and data protocols, ensuring flawless conferencing for H.323 and SIP endpoints.

The VCB V.5 has a flexible architecture, with configurations scalable from 12 to 48 ports. Additional ports could be added by cascading units.

The VCB V.5 is a complete, affordable solution that makes multi-point conferencing possible for all size and type of organizations and will easily fit into customer's network both in centralized and distributed architecture.
