Embarcadero Launches 10-City Seminar Series on Data Security; ''Key Ingredients for Ensuring Data Privacy'' Outlines Roadmap for Addressing Data Privacy Threats.

The Privacy Rights Clearinghouse reports that more than 100 data breaches occurred in just the last 12 months, exposing more than 52 million consumer records. Further, Ponemon Institute has reported that each data breach costs companies an average of $14 million dollars. The "Key Ingredients for Ensuring Data Privacy" series will address the top data security issues and outline an approach for effectively managing data privacy including:

--Identifying and classifying personal information

--Developing security and privacy policies

--Evaluating methods for auditing data access and activity

--Proposing best practices such as role segregation

Embarcadero will introduce this framework via a 10-city seminar series that launches in both Seattle, Washington and Denver, Colorado on March 2. The seminar series is the first to be led by industry veteran, Gregory Davoll, who joined the company as director of security solutions in January.
