ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 13, 2003

With Enhanced Reporting Features, New Version Enables Permission Email

Marketers to Improve Segmentation, Personalization Custom tailoring information to the individual. On the Web, personalization means returning a page that has been customized for the user, taking into consideration that person's habits and preferences. , Messaging and ROI (Return On Investment) The monetary benefits derived from having spent money on developing or revising a system. In the IT world, there are more ways to compute ROI than Carter has liver pills (and for those of you who never heard of that expression, it means a lot).

With the emphasis on enhanced reporting capabilities that help take email marketing to a new level, EmailLabs, a leading provider of email marketing automation solutions, today announced its next generation hosted email marketing software. EmailLabs made the announcement at the DMA Annual Conference & Exhibition, here through October 15 (Booth #250).

Developed in response to intensive, ongoing feedback from its more than 280 clients, EmailLabs' new software platform features major enhancements in three key areas: reporting, message/data management and account management.

In the area of reporting alone, EmailLabs software now enables companies to receive more accurate campaign reports, generate subscription reports, view reports by the breakdown of email address See Internet address.  domains, create demographic breakdown reports, produce campaign results reports, build activity reports based on most active users, and more.

"We're launching this next generation application as a direct result of real world input from our clients, who are on the front lines of email marketing," said David Sousa, CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  and co-founder, EmailLabs. "Collectively, these companies have sent literally hundreds of millions of messages and conducted thousands of campaigns. Through that experience, they have helped us refine the product -- and in doing so, take it to a new level. Our application now has the tools to enable email marketers to take their campaigns to the next level as well.

"As the email marketing industry matures, clients are increasingly taking advantage of -- and demanding -- a greater level of reporting," Sousa said. "Reporting is what sets email marketing apart. With that in mind, we're responding with a number of feature enhancements that enable permission email marketers to improve segmentation, personalization, messaging and ROI."

EmailLabs application enhancements include:

Reporting

-- Open and Click-Through Histograms -- View open and

click-through activity during the first 48 hours after message

delivery in hourly increments. Clients can determine exactly

what time their users are active and time future mailings

based on optimal open and click times.

-- Text Message Open Tracking -- Text messages, which do not

include the clear gif See invisible GIF.  used to track opens that have

click-throughs, will now be counted as opens -- providing more

accurate open rate reporting.

-- Activity Graph -- Pie chart A graphical representation of information in which each unit of data is represented as a pie-shaped piece of a circle. See business graphics.  that displays user activity for a

message including "Just Opened," "Open and Clicked," "Opened &

-- HTML HTML

Clicks Pie Chart -- Pie chart of click-through activity.

-- Campaign Report by Filter -- View campaign results by "filter"

(list segmentation variable). For example, clients can view

the results of a sent message by AOL (A division of Time Warner, Inc., New York, NY, www.aol.com) The world's largest online information service with access to the Internet, e-mail, chat rooms and a variety of databases and services.  recipients, California

residents, males or other segmentation filters that a user has

created.

-- Campaign Report Builder -- A fully customizable and automatic

report builder for any or all messages sent to a specific

list. Users select a message or group of messages based on

Message Category, Filter, or Date range and specify how often

they want the report to be generated. The report will then

generate automatically within the application and can also be

emailed to multiple recipients.

-- Delivery Report -- Report shows which version/format of the

message your users are actually viewing -- HTML, Text, AOL 5.0

or under, AOL 6.0 and above. Knowing which version is being

delivered to recipients enables markets to design future

messages that correspond to the format actually being viewed

by subscribers and customers.

-- Top Domains Report -- Statistics (number and percentages) and

pie chart of the email address domains (companies and ISPs) in

a mailing list An automated e-mail system on the Internet, which is maintained by subject matter. There are thousands of such lists that reach millions of individuals and businesses. New users generally subscribe by sending an e-mail with the word "subscribe" in it and subsequently receive all new .

Message/Data Management

is assigned based on the number of matches.

-- Message Categories -- Classify messages by category for easier

sorting and better reporting. Users can select a predefined

category or create their own custom categories.

-- Message Names -- Create alternate names for messages. This is

useful when sending multiple versions of the same message

(split tests, different formats, etc.) or to distinguish

multiple messages with the same subject line.

-- Message Notes -- Maintain notes on a message before and after

delivery. This serves as workflow reminders, lessons learned

and enables sharing best practices with other account users.

-- Link Aliasing In computer graphics, the stair-stepped appearance of diagonal lines when there are not enough pixels in the image or on screen to represent them realistically. Also called "stair-stepping" and "jaggies." See anti-aliasing.  -- Assign readable names to HTML links for

reporting purposes. For example,

http://www.emaillabs.com/index.html can be aliased as

"EmailLabs." This enables users to identify long HTML links or

to easily distinguish two similar links when viewing reports.

-- Content Library -- Upload images, small files and HTML landing

pages to EmailLabs servers for hosting. This content can then

be referenced via a full URL URL

 in messages. This feature reduces

the need for marketers to rely on their IT departments or

Webmasters to upload images, files or landing pages.

Account Management

-- User Accounts -- Multiple users can now access a single

EmailLabs account, each with different levels of access and

separate and hidden data and messages. The account

administrator controls the access levels of each user account:

specifying exactly which functions each person can perform,

which mailing lists they have access to and they can track

each account's activity within the application. This feature

is of particular value to large companies that deploy email

marketing across multiple divisions, departments or locations.

-- User Groups -- Account administrators can now set up and

control User Groups, enabling individuals to have shared

access within groups while not having access to mailing lists

of other groups.

"Email is the most powerful form of marketing in use today," Sousa said. "Marketers are able to send a high volume of email cost-effectively, while simultaneously delivering highly targeted messages based on recipient preferences and past actions. We've created our next generation software in tandem Adv. 1. in tandem - one behind the other; "ride tandem on a bicycle built for two"; "riding horses down the path in tandem"

with email marketers for email marketers, as a way of providing next generation tools that deliver on the promise of that power."
