Elston Joins Clean Shower as New Company President.


JACKSONVILLE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 1998--Clean Shower L.P., the manufacturer and distributor of the country's leading daily shower cleaners, has named William S. Elston as its new president.

Prior to that, he served as executive vice president of operations for Steelcase Inc., a major manufacturer of office equipment with annual revenues of $1.7 billion, and as president and chief executive officer of GATX GATX General American Transportation Corporation  Logistics Inc., one of North and South America's largest providers of contract logistics services.

Black himself launched the daily shower cleaning market in 1995, when he introduced Clean Shower(r), a product that uses easy daily misting to eliminate mildew, soap scum, and hard water deposits in shower cleaning. Since then, daily shower cleaning has turned into a $350 million market category.

"Right now Clean Shower's products are still dominating the category," said Black. "But the strong leadership Bill brings to the table will be essential to keeping us on top."

In addition to his work with DHR International, Steelcase and GATX Logistics, Elston spent 12 years working in a variety of capacities for Frito-Lay Inc., most recently as senior vice president of operations. In addition, he worked with The Pillsbury Co. and the Joseph E. Seagram Joseph Emm Seagram (April 15, 1841 - August 18, 1919) was a Canadian distillery founder, politician, philanthropist, and major owner of thoroughbred racehorses.
