Elster Electricity Announces Distribution Agreement with Electro Industries/GaugeTech to Offer High Performance Nexus Utility Billing Meters.

The agreement enables Elster to offer EIG's high performance utility billing meters with communications and advanced power quality features to domestic and international customers while expanding EIG's market footprint. EIG, headquartered in Westbury, N.Y., is a world leader in power monitoring and metering technology.

Nexus meters are specifically designed to meet the sophisticated standards required by utility companies and deregulated power providers. The Nexus meter line provides a communications platform to enable extensive advanced monitoring features including substation and transmission grid inter-tie monitoring. Standard features in Nexus meters offer the flexibility to meet advanced metering needs in the future.
