Elsag Bailey and Amoco Corporation Form Strategic Alliance For Gas Chromatograph Analyzers.

BARTLESVILLE, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 3, 1997-- Applied Automation, Inc. (AAI), a unit of Elsag Bailey Process Automation N.V. (NYSE:EBY) today announces the formation of a strategic alliance for the supply of gas chromatograph analyzers to Amoco Corporation. The agreement designates AAI as the supplier of choice for process gas chromatograph analyzers for Amoco operations worldwide.

The alliance agreement follows a long and successful relationship in the United States between AAI and Amoco Corporation. In selecting the Elsag Bailey unit, Amoco evaluated six manufacturers for technical design, level of automation, R&D and capital investment, manufacturing process, ability to globally support Amoco locations, and understanding of alliances.
