Ellie Mae(R), Inc. today announced at the 2004 National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) Annual Convention the availability of version 1.5 of its Encompass(TM) mortgage management system. The comprehensive new release includes enterprise-level functionality for secure, scalable networking, integration with legacy and third-party applications, significant usability and performance enhancements, and the introduction of a new single-user and five-user license to meet the needs of thousands of small origination companies.

Enterprise-Level Functionality

Version 1.5 provides smaller and larger companies with the ability for remote users to easily and securely access Encompass through their own server using HTTPS. Larger companies with existing legacy systems and third-party solution providers of business systems now can integrate with Encompass. Additionally, Encompass 1.5 contains an optional SDK (Software Development Kit) that will include a licensed and documented API (Application Programming Interface). Finally, a number of features have been introduced to assist larger companies in administering Encompass across multiple organizations.

Performance Enhancements

Encompass 1.5 features faster printing and screen loading of pipelines, reports, and dashboards. The new version allows users to print documents without previewing them and to edit custom forms on a loan-by-loan basis.

Usability and Productivity Enhancements

Responding to feedback from over 1000 Encompass users, Ellie Mae incorporated hundreds of usability and productivity enhancements for processors and loan officers. Some of these enhancements include: updated forms with embedded fonts for improved printing reliability; improved navigation and sorting ability for column headings; pipeline search functionality; expanded help files and guides; automatic duplication of borrower data for a second mortgage; the ability to automatically update contact information when creating a new loan; and more flexibility in generating tailored reports.

New Single and Five-User Licenses Available

To meet the needs of smaller origination companies, Ellie Mae is making Encompass 1.5 available for purchase as a single-user license ($595 license includes the first year of maintenance and support) and a five-user license ($795 includes the first year of maintenance and support). In February of this year, Ellie Mae introduced a "Concierge Service" for Encompass users for easy set-up and support. This free service features personalized appointments for installation and set up of Encompass.
