Eli Research acquires oldest health care policy newsletter in the country.


Medicine & Health, the oldest health care policy newsletter in the country, has been acquired by Eli Research of Durham, N.C. (NL/NL 4/30/01), along with 30 annual health care reference books from Thomson Financial's Banking, Insurance and E-Commerce e-commerce, commerce conducted over the Internet, most often via the World Wide Web. E-commerce can apply to purchases made through the Web or to business-to-business activities such as inventory transfers.  Group.

Medicine & Health was founded 54 years ago and provides top executives in government, lobbying firms and industry with information on federal legislative actions. The newsletters sells as a print weekly for $465/year and as an e-mail daily for $850/year.

The annual publications included in the purchase range in the price form $225 to $695. They include: Medical Outcomes & Guidelines guidelines,
n.pl a set of standards, criteria, or specifications to be used or followed in the performance of certain tasks.
 Sourcebook, Practice Guidelines practice guidelines Medical practice A set of recommendations for Pt management that identifies a specific or range of range of management strategies. Eli Research chairman Greg Lindberg said that the acquisition "broadens and strengthens our already strong position in the health care publishing field."

Eli Research is a nine-year-old research and information company with 26 print and online publications serving most health care markets, including hospitals, physicians, clinical laboratories, alternate site, post-acute, and managed care, as well as the banking industry.

Whitestone Communications Inc. represented Thomason Financial in the sale.
