Elgin Community College (Ill.) has announced the appointment of Felicia Griffin as director of communications. Griffin will be responsible for media relations, internal and external stakeholder relations and

legislative affairs. Prior to her arrival at ECC, Griffin worked as a public relations and communications consultant. She previously served as communications manager for the Port of Houston Authority, the second largest port in the United States. Additionally, she was a news producer, reporter and anchor for Houston's KNWS-TV. Griffin earned an MBA from the University of Houston and a bachelor of science in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.
