The worldwide joint venture is to have three distinct entities, each responsible for the operations of a geographical zone Noun 1. geographical zone - any of the regions of the surface of the Earth loosely divided according to latitude or longitude

climatic zone - any of the geographical zones loosely divided according to prevailing climate and latitude
, as follows: In Japan, NOF is to hold 80% of the joint company; in Europe and in America, Elf Atochem is to own 80%; and in Asia and in the rest of the world, both companies are to have equal shares.
