Elf Atochem North America awards Keane $4.3 million contract for application outsourcing project.


BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 1995--Keane Inc. (AMEX AMEX

: KEA), a leading software services firm, announced today that Elf Atochem North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  Inc. (EANA EANA Exchange Access North American ) has awarded Keane a four-year, $4.3 million Application Outsourcing contract.

 the agreement, Keane will be responsible for the maintenance and support of a significant number of the existing EANA systems. The applications will be supported on a variety of platforms, which will range from mainframe to mid-range computers to PCs. The technical architecture includes CICS/VSAM, DB2 and COBOL COBOL: see programming language.

EANA Vice President of Information Services See Information Systems.  Robert Rubin Robert Edward Rubin (born August 29, 1938) is an American banker who served as the 70th United States Secretary of the Treasury during both the first and second Clinton Administrations during a time of peak performance for the U.S. economy.  explained, "Our objective is to outsource the maintenance of our legacy systems in order to free up our internal resources to work on our new applications. We selected Keane because it was competitive in its pricing, flexible in its approach and professional in conducting the initial negotiations."

Keane will employ its Software Maintenance Management methodology to manage application software maintenance activities throughout the life of the project. The methodology will ensure a quick and transparent transition of maintenance and support activities from EANA to Keane.
