And the Winner is....

Lauer's winning masterpiece was a sculpture of a Hover Craft of the future built entirely out of LUNCHABLES fun snacks. It consisted of Brownies, rice crispy squares and sprinkles. LUNCHABLES Fudge Brownies fun snack was Lauer's favorite for building -- and eating.

"I'm so excited that I won and got to come to San Diego and Legoland. I had so much fun building my Hover Craft out of LUNCHABLES fun snacks. Hardest part was not eating while I was building." said Lauer.

Lauer and the other lucky four finalists were chosen for their unique sculpture entries and were flown to San Diego with their families to participate in the final build-off at Legoland.

Ready! Set! Snack!

The LUNCHABLES BUILD YOUR OWN FUN contest kicked off with a tour that featured Sarah Baumann, a professional snack artist, and her life size sculptures made completely of LUNCHABLES fun snacks to give kids idea starters. Her sculptures included a race car, robot, and baseball player to name a few.

Using their imaginations, kids entered the contest by building anything they wanted, from a rollercoaster to a robot to a rocket, using only LUNCHABLES fun snacks. Next kids had to send in a photo of their creation along with a name. Finalists were chosen based on originality and creativity, appearance of snacking structure and appropriateness of selected name. All five finalists received a family vacation for four to San Diego, CA to compete in the final build-off and a chance to win $10,000 for a college fund and a one-year supply of LUNCHABLES fun snacks.

"The key to LUNCHABLES is that kids can assemble their own food and have fun," said Tim Cofer, Sr. Category Business Director for LUNCHABLES. "The contest took this idea even further allowing kids to get creative for a chance to win money towards college. It was amazing to see the various sculptures kids from around the country created using only LUNCHABLES fun snacks."

Introduced last year, LUNCHABLES fun snacks are sweet snack combinations in kid-favorite flavors, such as CHIPS AHOY(R), OREO(R) Cookies, Fudge Brownie, S'mores, Marshmallow marshmallow /marsh·mal·low/ (mahrsh´mel?o) (-mal?o) a perennial Eurasian herb, Althaea officinalis,  Crispy Square and sugar Star Cookie.
