Eleven Fairfax County Companies Named to Hispanic Business Top 500 List; Many Are Tech Firms; Ranking of Largest Firms Includes 29 from Washington Region.


FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. -- Eleven Fairfax County-based companies, many of them in technology fields, are included in the latest Hispanic Business Hispanic Business, Inc. is a media company based in Santa Barbara, California, in the United States of America. Founded by Jesús Chavarría in 1979, Hispanic Business, Inc. publishes information for and about Hispanic professionals and entrepreneurs.  magazine rankings of the 500 largest Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. . The list is in the June issue of Hispanic Business. Rankings are based on 2004 company revenues.

Including those from Fairfax County, 17 Virginia companies are on the list. Eight companies are from Maryland and four are from Washington, D.C.
