Electronics firm joins Granite tenant roster.


The second phase of the newly developed office complex known as The Granite Buildings has attracted multiple tenants in an extremely successful "pre-leasing" campaign spearheaded by the Long Island office of CB Richard Ellis CB Richard Ellis Group, Inc. NYSE: CBG is a multinational real estate corporation currently based in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.. On December 20, 2006, the corporation, also known as CBRE, completed acquisition of Trammell Crow Co. in a transaction valued at $2. .

Coby Electronics Corporation Coby Electronics Corporation is a manufacturer of consumer electronics products headquartered in Maspeth, New York with offices and factories around the world (including the United States, Mexico, and China). With the joint efforts of Coby Electronics Co. , a manufacturer of quality consumer electronics products, has committed to 20,000 s/f of space within the 350,000 s/ f, Class A complex.

Coby Electronics joins a number of high-profile tenants currently located in its sister-property (Phase I), including North Fork Bank North Fork Bank was an American bank headquartered in Melville, New York purchased by Capital One at the end of 2006 for $14.6 billion U.S. dollars. It was only the second bank bought by Capital One, and was the larger of two acquisitions comprising Capital One's 2005-06 expansion , North Shore Long Island Jewish Health Systems and Sumitomo Corporation Sumitomo Corporation (住友商事, Sumitomo Shōji) TYO: 8053 is a highly built worldwide trading company (Sogo shosha), and is a diversified corporation based in Tokyo, Japan. It is a member company of the Sumitomo Group.  of America. Phase I of The Granite Buildings was completed in 2005 and is currently 100% leased.

 team of Larry Weiss, Marty Lomazow, Roy Chipkin, Richard Karson and David Shaoulpour oversee the leasing at Phase II on behalf of the ownership, Lalezarian Properties. Coby Electronics was represented by Robert Huhem of Majestic Property Affiliates.

"We have seen a significant amount of interest in the building since the beginning of the year," said Mr. Weiss. "Everyone who visits the property is impressed. It truly is one of the classiest buildings on Long Island."

Coby Electronics plans to relocate its operations to the Lake Success property from its current location at 56-65 Russ Street in Maspeth, NY by year-end 2007.

Located at 1991 Marcus Avenue, The Granite Buildings are less than one-quarter mile from two major arteries--the Long Island Expressway and Northern State Parkway--and is under one-half mile from Queens County Queens County or Queen's County is the name of:
