Electronic signatures accepted next tax season.


The FTB FTB Franchise Tax Board (California; they collect income and sales tax)
FTB Family Tax Benefit (Australian welfare assistance)
FTB First Time Buyer (housing) 
 is adding electronic signature options to its e-file procedures, mirroring IRS An abbreviation for the Internal Revenue Service, a federal agency charged with the responsibility of administering and enforcing internal revenue laws.  procedures by allowing taxpayers and tax practitioners to sign using a personal identification number.

Beginning January, the FTB will accept electronic signatures using Self-Select PIN and Practitioner PIN methods.

In addition, you still will have the option to use the California E-file Return Authorization The right or permission to use a system resource; the process of granting access. See access control.  (Form 8453).
