Electronic Systems Technology President Tom Kirchner Inducted into Engineering Hall of Fame.


KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Electronic Systems Technology, Inc. (EST) (OTCBB:ELST), dba ESTeem Wireless Modems, manufacturer of the ESTeem(TM) product line of narrow band licensed, Ethernet Licensed, and Unlicensed wireless modems, announced today that EST's President and CEO Tom Kirchner was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame of Theta Tau Engineering Fraternity on Saturday, August 8th at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Mr. Kirchner, who served with the U.S. Navy Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron One in Vietnam, has a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona and was Regent of Theta Tau fraternity during his senior year. He worked for the Boeing Company, Westinghouse-Hanford and AE International before starting Electronic Systems Technology in 1982. The former Richland Rotary Club president has two U.S. patents, five invention awards and an R&D 100 Award for the Wireless Modem to his credit. Kirchner received the Washington State Governor's Award in 1990 and Southeast Washington Small Business Person of the Year in 1992.

Mr. Kirchner was formally recognized as a Theta Tau Hall of Fame Laureate and was presented a plaque commemorating the event. Founded at the University of Minnesota in 1904, Theta Tau is the largest and oldest professional fraternity in the field of engineering.

Electronic Systems Technology, a publicly held Corporation since 1984, was the first company to develop the wireless modem and receive the United States and Canadian patents for this technology.
