Electronic Sensor Technology Adds Two New Directors to the Board.

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- On September 7, 2006, the Board of Directors of Electronic Sensor Technology, Inc. (OTCBB:ESNR) elected Michel Amsalem and Lew Larson as directors of the Company to fill two vacancies created by the expansion of the board from six to eight members.

"We welcome Michel Amsalem and Lew Larson to the Board, for they have extensive contacts, relationships and experience in the financial market and governmental agencies," said Jim Frey, Chairman of the Board.

Michel A. Amsalem is the Founder and President of Midsummer Capital, the investment manager of the Midsummer Group of Funds. He has over thirty years of experience in the origination, structuring, negotiation and management of investments in complex environments.

Previously, Mr. Amsalem was a Principal and Managing Partner of Omicron Capital, an investment advisor to a group of investment funds.

Mr. Amsalem holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration from Harvard University, an MBA from Columbia University and is a graduate of Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France. He is also a professor of Business and Investment Strategy at Columbia University Graduate School of Business.

Lewis E. Larson has over 35 years experience in private industry and the government sector. Mr. Larson is currently the founder and President of The Lion Group which provides consulting and system engineering services to the Federal Government and related supporting industries. Previously, Mr. Larson was a co-founder of Analytical Decisions Inc. which was subsequently acquired by the Ball Corporation.

Mr. Larson's government experience includes various senior positions at the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Additionally, Mr. Larson held integrated billets at the White House Situation Room and Department of State. He worked on technology developments with Sandia, Los Alamos, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories.

Mr. Larson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he received his BSEE. He has also completed the Senior Executive Education business program at Stanford University and also at the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University.
