Electrohome's high-brightness, DLP-based VistaPro projector now available.


KITCHENER, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 17, 1997--Electrohome Projection Systems, a leading manufacturer of high-resolution, high-brightness video/data/graphics projection systems, today announced the availability of their VistaPro high-brightness projector. Delivering 1300 ANSI lumens of brightness, accurate color reproduction, seamless imagery, digital accuracy, color uniformity and scaleability to higher resolutions, the VistaPro kicks off Electrohome's new Vista series of DLP-based projectors for the professional display market. The suggested U.S. list price for the VistaPro is $39,995.00, plus lens.

The VistaPro is the first projection system based on Texas Instruments' (TIs') three-chip Digital Light Processing (DLP (Digital Light Processing) A data projection technology from TI that produces clear, readable images on screens in lit rooms. DLP is used in all types of projection devices, from data projectors that weigh only a few pounds to large rear-projection TVs to electronic ) engine.
