Electricity ministry postpones Arbil conference for technical reasons.

BAGHDAD Baghdad or Bagdad (both: băg`dăd, bägdäd`), city (1987 pop. 3,841,268), capital of Iraq, central Iraq, on both banks of the Tigris River. "The conference, scheduled to be held on Saturday (Sept. 26) in Arbil, was postponed until next month for technical reasons and to guarantee a wider participation by international companies," Azeez Sultan SULTAN. Al-Shemri had said earlier that the ministry will hold a conference next Saturday to be attended by 150 global companies on carrying out seven energy projects in Iraq.

"The ministry will hold an international conference next Saturday (Sept. 26) at the Sheraton Hotel in Arbil with the participation of 150 Iraqi, Arab and international companies," he said.
