The premier Green Jobs for America event will take place at EMC's Wakarusa headquarters, located at 905 Nelson's Parkway, from 3:30 to 11:00pm on September 5th, 2009. It is free and open to the public.

The exposition will provide local 'green' businesses with a unique opportunity to showcase electric vehicles, alternative energy, biofuels, and other innovations from supporting industries.

Educational partners from Purdue University Purdue University (pərdy`, -d`), main campus at West Lafayette, Ind. , Ivy Tech IVY TECH Ivy Tech State College (Indiana Vocational Technical College System) , Lake Michigan College Lake Michigan College is a regional two year community college. The main campus located in Benton Township, Michigan on US-31/Napier Avenue, and the regional campuses located in Benton Harbor, Bertrand Crossing (Niles), and South Haven.  and Apprentice Academy/Vincennes University will also be exhibiting the importance of 'green' technologies and the future 'green' endeavors of each school.

As an added bonus, the event will feature a performance by 'The Byrds Celebration', featuring former 'Byrds' front man Terry Jones Rogers. Famous for songs like "Turn, Turn, Turn" and "Mr. Tambourine tambourine (tăm'bərēn`), musical instrument of the percussion family, having a narrow circular frame and a single parchment drumhead, with metal plates or jingles set in the frame.  Man," 'The Byrds' were an influential group of the late 1960's and early 1970's, and have remained an important part of music history for the past five decades. 'The Byrds Celebration' continues 'The Byrds' legacy and promises to be a special treat.

Footage from the event will be used to deliver the message of the need for 'green' technology and the benefit of 'green' jobs to a national audience.
