Electric Mail and OfficeDomain Announce Strategic Alliance.

The Electric Mail (VSE:ELE.) The Electric Mail Company (VSE:ELE, www.electricmail.com), Canada's largest provider of outsourced email and rapidly expanding across the globe, and OfficeDomain, Inc. (www.officedomain.com) the world's first free Internet-based unified messaging company recently launched in June by a number of former Compaq executives, today announced a strategic alliance together.

The alliance includes cross licensing of products for distribution to their respective customers.

OfficeDomain will integrate The Electric Mail Company's E-mmunity(TM) Virus Scan Service into MessageASAP. Doug Pushard, president of OfficeDomain said, "We are excited to be the first unified messaging vendor to provide our customers with a virus scanning service that will prevent the transmission of destructive and disruptive viruses." According to Cathy Munn, president of The Electric Mail Company, "The prevalence of email viruses is astounding and we're finding on average one infected message in every 500 that we scan." E-mmunity(TM) Virus Scanning Service currently scans for over 7,000 viruses and is continuously updated with new virus signatures (approx. 200 a month). E-mmunity(TM) ensures up-to-date virus protection. Doug Pushard stated, "E-mmunity(TM) provides our customers a method to scan for viruses without changing anything. It is always up-to-date and requires no changes by the customer. As part of the agreement, The Electric Mail Company has licensed and will begin offering OfficeDomain's MessageASAP product to their customers. This unique product integrates email, voice and fax messages in one place, allowing easy access from the PC, the Internet or the telephone -- all without changing phone numbers or email addresses. It is the only product of its kind that is useful to customers anywhere in the world. Customers in over 75 countries are already using the product today.
