Electric Mail Co. Hires Telecomm/IT Executive As Vice-President & General Manager.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 22, 1998-- (VSE:ELE.) The Electric Mail Company (VSE:ELE) today announced the appointment of Jim Kenney to the position of vice president and general manager.

Bringing over 27 years experience in the telecommunications and IT industries, Mr. Kenney has held senior executive positions with Sprint, Insinc, Prologic and SHL Canada. In this new role, Mr. Kenney will focus on operations management, strategic planning, and key channel development to fuel the company's ongoing expansion into the U.S. and European markets.

Most recently, Mr. Kenney held the position of Regional Vice President for Sprint Canada where he was responsible for the leadership of sales and engineering professionals providing long distance and data networks for businesses in Western Canada. Prior to Sprint's acquisition of Insinc, where Mr. Kenney was Vice President of Data Sales and Service, he served as President and C.E.O of Prologic Computer Corporation.
