Electric Insurance Company Awards GE Volunteers Organization $50,000 to Support Vital Community Service Projects.

BEVERLY, Mass. -- Electric Insurance has recently awarded $50,000 in grant money to GE's "GE Volunteers" organization to fund important community service programs across the United States. Grants ranging from $1,000 - $5,000 have been allocated to 16 projects through the 2007 Electric Insurance Grants Program. GE Volunteers is comprised of GE employee and retiree volunteers who strive to make a positive impact on communities throughout the world.

Over 50 grant applications from GE Volunteers councils were received for the 2007 award year.
