 the scholarship, which is awarded annually to an Endicott College undergraduate who demonstrates a strong commitment to enhancing the lives of others. The scholarship was established in 2008.

"A community scholarship was a natural fit for Electric Insurance," said Nicholas L. Schulson, Vice President, Human Resources The fancy word for "people." Manning's involvement in multiple service projects, both now and in the past was a key factor in her award. Projects include: American Cancer Society's Relay for Life/Colleges Against Cancer; Rotaract Service Club; Alternative Spring Break, where she served as a student trip leader; Future Educators of the World; Cape Ann/Open Door Food Pantry; Beverly Affordable Housing Coalition; and Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity, nonprofit ecumenical Christian organization that enables low-income people to own affordable, livable housing. Headquartered in Americus, Ga., it was founded in 1976 by businessman Millard Fuller and his wife. .
