Electric Cloud Welcomes Mike Maciag Vice President of Marketing & Business Development.


MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- Electric Cloud Electric Cloud, Inc. is a privately held software corporation specializing in high-performance software build tools. Electric Cloud is based in Mountain View, California and currently offers two products. , the software build infrastructure company, today announced the appointment of Mike Maciag as its Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. A key executive in three successful start-ups that have defined new markets, Mr. Maciag brings over 18 years of experience in information and technology management.

Most recently, Mr. Maciag was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at MS2, Inc., an enterprise software company that he founded in 1998. At MS2, Mr. Maciag established a new application category Product Lifecycle Automation (PLA (Programmable Logic Array) A type of programmable logic chip (PLD) that contained arrays of programmable AND and OR gates. In addition to MS2, Mr. Maciag played an essential role in establishing the Color Server market as the Director of Marketing at Electronics for Imaging and the Super Server Market at NetFrame Systems, Inc. Market traction at both Electronics for Imaging and NetFrame Systems led to successful public offerings. Mr. Maciag also served as Executive Director of Corporate Development for Informix Software, acquired by IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  in 2001. At Informix, Mr. Maciag ran the corporate venture fund, mergers and acquisitions, product marketing strategy and venture community relationship management.
