Test: Setup

The effect on power consumption of the Energy Management System
(a.k.a. EnergySaver) was determined by monitoring the active power
(watts) at the input terminals to the system, at the equipment
settings noted below.

Data was recorded using the following equipment:
-Dranetz Electric Power / Demand Analyzer

The analyzer recorded the voltage, current and active power of
each of three input phases to the equipment. Data was collected at
ten-minute intervals over 24-hour periods, for five consecutive days.

Preliminary test results are summarized in the following table:

THIS IS AN ENERGY USAGE REDUCTION WITH SAVINGS OF APPROXIMATELY 30%

FOR THIS APPLICATION.

The preliminary results indicate that the difference in average power consumption between the Energy Management System (a.k.a. EnergySaver) at "Full Voltage" setting and at "92 Volts" setting is 3.07 kW.

The test was performed and verified by Robert J. O'Connor, Engineer for ITS.

The EnergySaver: State of the Art Lighting Control Technology is a proprietary energy management system designed to reduce the cost of lighting. These savings are achieved without a loss in essential brightness and without reducing the number of hours the lights are used.
