Electric Bike Maker ZAP Commences Public Offering Over Internet.


SEBASTOPOL Sebastopol: see Sevastopol, Ukraine. , Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1997--ZAP Power Systems (ZAP) of Sebastopol has been cleared by the Securities and Exchange Commission to commence its initial public offering of 500,000 shares at $5.25 per share.

ZAP develops, manufactures and markets lightweight, low-powered electric vehicles. The company currently produces an electric power assist kit for bicycles and tricycles and assembles complete electric powered bicycles and tricycles.
