Eldorado reports record gold shipment from La Colorada Mine, Mexico.

VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 14, 1995--Eldorado Corp. (TSE, BSE, VSE: ELD ) Eldorado Corp. Ltd. is pleased to announce that the Company's wholly owned La Colorada Mine in Sonora State, Mexico, shipped a record 1,000 ounces of gold for the week of September 3-9, 1995.

The record shipment represents the initial results of an ongoing optimization program currently underway at the mine. The Merrill Crowe circuit continues to increase in productivity with gold recovery averaging over one hundred ounces per day.

Richard J. Barclay noted, "We are extremely pleased with the early fruits of our labor over the last few months and we will continue to rationalize and optimize the La Colorada operations in the coming months. We look forward to significantly stronger production in the third and fourth quarters and we are confident that our production forecast of approximately 30,000 ounces in 1995 will be attained."

The La Colorada Mine is currently the focus of a mine expansion study which covers all aspects of increasing gold production to 75,000 - 100,000 ounces per year by 1998. The study, which is being managed by Steffen, Robertson & Kirston is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 1996.
